It All Starts In The Kitchen

A healthy morning, scratch that, a healthy lifestyle, starts in the morning. One bad meal could lead to another bad meal which could lead to yet another bad meal. That's why you have to start your morning off on a good note, one that features a healthy breakfast, and this all starts in the kitchen.

There are plenty of people who think they can eat whatever they want and still get in the best shape of their lives because they plan on working out like madmen at the gym. Sure, that might work for some people, because everyone is different (a fast metabolism is a huge blessing), but it surely doesn't work for everyone. Even if you are putting bad food into your body and are still seeing results at the gym, do you really think you are healthy? There is more to health than simply having a good body, although health and six-pack abs typically go hand-in-hand.

Looking good, feeling good and being healthy all start in the kitchen. If you start your mornings off with a healthy meal, then you are off to a great start.

Bonus: When you wake up in the morning, start drinking a ton of water. Your body will thank you.

Make An Appearance At The Gym

There's a reason why people like Kevin Hart tend to go to the gym in the morning. Not only does the early bird get the worm (you might have heard), but if you go to the gym first thing in the morning -- you know, before the day even really begins -- then you will have no excuse to miss a workout.

After all, the day -- and life in general -- tends to throw a lot at you. An unexpected meeting could pop up, which could lead to you having to stay at work longer. Anything and everything could happen on a daily basis; however, if you go to the gym (or do any form of exercise) first thing in the morning, then you won't let this crazy thing called life affect your routine because you will have already crushed the gym before most people have even gotten out of bed.

No, you don't have to go to the gym at 4 a.m. -- well, unless you want to, that is -- but just make sure you give yourself enough time so you aren't rushing your workout, which could lead to injury, not being focused or simply having a bad workout (side note: a bad workout is better than no workout).

Here's the key takeaway: If you want to live out healthier mornings, then make exercise part of your morning routine.

Become A Guru In The Planning Department

When thinking of planning out a morning, most people likely think of work-related things. That is all well and good, but if you want to be the best version of yourself, then you have to plan out every aspect of your life. For the purposes of this article, we are talking about becoming a guru when it comes to planning out your meals.

If it's a typical day, then planning out breakfast, lunch, dinner and all of your snacks will likely be easy. However, what happens if you are having a company lunch at a local restaurant, or anything that will throw off your eating schedule? Simple. Do some planning.

If you know where you are going to be eating, then make sure to check the menu (this is likely located online) so you can make healthy decisions. Temptation is a nasty beast and it isn't easy to fight off, especially when everyone else is ordering meals that are loaded with empty calories and other healthy lifestyle killers, but it's not worth it -- it's really not. Is that 10 minutes of pleasure worth you not reaching your health goals? The choice is yours.

If you start your day off with a healthy breakfast and a workout and you also plan out all of your meals (don't be afraid to pick up the amazing habit that is meal prepping), then you will surely succeed when it comes to living out healthier mornings. Sooner or later, that will turn into a healthy lifestyle.
