3 Things You Need To Give Up To Add More Success To Your Life

  • Toxic People And Mindsets
  • Fear Of Making Mistakes
  • Distractions Galore

Toxic People And Mindsets

Toxic people and mindsets are only going to take you down. Here's the deal: You become who you closely associate with. Therefore, if you want to become successful and if you want to achieve all of your goals and dreams, then you have to hang out with like-minded people, people who hold the same beliefs as you, and people who are just as motivated as you.

Now, eliminating negative people out of your life is not good enough. You will also have to eliminate your negative mindsets and/or behaviors. If not, and if you become a negative and toxic person, then don't be surprised when other people are eliminating you from their lives.

You have to surround yourself with positivity and success, so start associating with positive people, and start becoming a positive, successful person on top of that.

"You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind." -- Joyce Meyer

Fear Of Making Mistakes

The sooner you drop the perfectionist mindset, the sooner you will start accepting failure into your life, and the sooner you will become a more productive and successful person.

No matter how intelligent, everyone makes mistakes. Everyone fails. The key is to learn from mistakes and failures, and then apply what you learn to your next endeavor.

Trying to be a perfectionist, trying to make every task/project perfect, will lead to you not finishing said task/project. It will also lead to disappointment, because nothing is perfect. Stop being afraid of making mistakes and start taking action. Focus on getting things done and making improvements. Perfect doesn't exist. Erase the word from your vocabulary.

Distractions Galore

If you want to achieve an overwhelming amount of success, and be the most productive version of yourself, then you need to eliminate all of the distractions. That, in a nutshell, includes anything and everything that doesn't relate to the task at hand.

Start working with your phone on silent, and don't log into Facebook (or other social media networks) while you are working. Do your most important tasks with the door closed. Literally tell people you cannot be bothered while you are working on something important.

The less distractions, the more focused you will be. With that will likely come your best work, and you saving time since you won't be stopping as a result of distractions rearing their ugly heads.

"Whatever you want to do, do with full passion and work really hard towards it. Don't look anywhere else. There will be a few distractions, but if you can be true to yourself, you will be successful for sure." -- Virat Kohli
